Distance: 650m open-water swim, a 20km bike, and a 5k run
The Stanford Treeathlon is back at Pacific Shores for the 2020 WCCTC season! We are pleased to offer one of the bay area's premier sprint-distance triathlons at the scenic port of Redwood City. The Treeathlon is the primary fundraiser for the Stanford Triathlon Team, and Stanford's part in the WCCTC race series. The race is for beginners and elites alike.
11:00 am - Collegiate men
11:15 am - Collegiate women
11:30 am - Open - Men age 39 and under, including High School
11:45 am - Open - Men age 40 and older, including Senior Games
12:00 pm - Open - All women, Senior Games, and Relay teams
Transition will be open 6:00 am until 10:50 am before the first wave goes off. All athlete's must be out of transition by 10:50 am in order to ensure transition is clear while other athletes are racing.
Note: Our Draft Legal race will be going on from 7:00-10:30 am. Their transition is separate but adjacent to the Classic transition. Please give right of way to racing athletes.
Packet pickup will be held on Friday, February 28th from 3pm - 6pm and Saturday, February 29th from 10 AM-5PM. Packet pick-up will be located near the race site at Sports Basement Redwood City, 202 Walnut St., Redwood City, CA, 94063. The race packet contains the socks, race number, course maps, etc. Additionally, racers get 20% off Sports Basement purchases during packet pickup hours!
You bet there will be prizes! We will have prizes for each age category as well as for the collegiate race.
